Abstract
This article aimed to study Phaiwarin Khaongam’s worldviews as
reflected in his poem collection, Ma Kan Kluay, and related to the poet’s
experience and cultural context.
The worldviews found in the Ma Kan Kluay were accumulated from
the poet’s life experience and his perception of people battling against the
economic development. This can be seen in his reactions towards the social
problems which stressed the material development, his nostalgic feeling while
